I'm one cockroach sighting short of come home, like, right now

With the Oilers entering the Stanley Cup finals for the first time in 15 years and my lack of friends in Hong Kong made more apparent by each passing day, I'm really tempted to come home now. (Also, it seems that despite being in a foreign country, my life is considerably less exotic than Chris's roomies.)

Then again, the Oilers have only lost one game ever since I left, and my presence on Canadian soil seems to jinx the team.

But I really miss the Black Dog, and random high-fives on Whyte Ave, and wireless internet access at home, and my electric toothbrush, and clean unpolluted air, and ...

Unpolluted air is totally overrated. I won't lie to you though, Iris: this city is not the same without you. There's no one calling people fuckers in the vindictive way that only you do; there's nobody making Iris-esque lowbrow jokes and most importantly I haven't seen anyone with a cape in weeks. It's sad.

Neighbour update: today there's lots of hammering.

Well, I too, missed calling people assholes and making ass jokes at random. But the message that you left me has brought be such warm memories that I cannot possibly have survived this long without it.

However, if you're still hankering for some tough (love?) go to your Bon Jovi YouTube clip. Somebody left a message and it's hilariously mean. Hilarious because it's not directed towards me.

Also, did anybody receive my half-drunken SMS? Kaszor? Tyson?

Yes. Yes it does.

I'm so sick of breathing in air that smells like gasoline and sweat.

The refinery-clean air of Edmonton would be quite the treat.

Growing up, I always thought Fort McMurray had Alberta's worst asthma rate.

I received no such SMS. Remember though, if you MSN me when I'm off line, it can text my phone. Which is hilarious to you when it wakes me up at 5am.
