And I quote:

An actual printed comment from a reader in the Edmonton Journal in regards to that A&W commercial where the woman clearly says the word "jizz":
"I'm disappointed the couple on TV who end up at A&W after a bad experience in a fancy restaurant aren't a real couple. I just love them. I never get tired of watching that commercial."

Ew. That poster is obviously some spinster lady with no standards because frankly, the guy from that commercial looks like a hobo with a 3-dollar Value Village suit on. Also, his hair looks greasy. ALSO, he looks like the sort of guy that you don't want to sit next to in public transportation. Or you'll sit next to, but only because all the other seats are taken and you don't want to stand.

ALSO, they look like they're in their '40s, which is a sad time to get into the dating market. I mean, if you're still going on first dates when you're 40, you either had a failed marriage or you're so undesirable that nobody wanted to date you for longer than a two-week period in the first place, much less marrying you. Ergo, you should do humanity a favor and not go on dates. Get a cat or take up knitting or something.

(Tyson: I hope you don't mind me jazzing up the quote format a bit)

I wonder if anyone else out there has watched that commercial and heard jizz? Iris, I completely agree, those people are either freshly divorced (sad), or have some sort of hideous flaw that a second date will reveal, which is why they're both still available at that age. I realize by writing something like that, I've likely doomed myself to becoming that guy.

Shit.

So the Edmonton Journal ran a story about possibly hearing "jizz" in an A&W commercial? Is that what you're telling me? Because that's silly.

No. That's an excerpt from the ever-popular "Venting" section. The Journal now has a Venting section in every section of the paper (ie sports, entertainment, city plus) as oppose to before, where we're only subjected to these whiners once a week in one column.

Reader interaction/input at its finest!
