The untimely demise of Nancy Grace?

The remote for my TV is a mess. The 3, 6, 9 and the volume-down buttons don't work on it; I have no idea why. The remote doesn't mesh well with my love for Showcase's quality weeknight programming. When I want to get to Showcase, the fastest thing I can do is turn to channel 28, then click up three times as fast as possible. Tonight, I went to 28 as usual, clicked up, and at the last second, registered what I had seen on CNN's headline channel. Sitting high atop her mountain of self-righteousness, judging those beneath her, was Nancy Grace. So far, so good, right? Nothing out of the ordinary here. Until you see her holding a fucking rifle! I went back in time to get a pic of her holding the gun, talking about how some lady who shot her minister husband deserves to die in jail or something. No real explanation of what the reasoning was behind giving Nancy Grace a gun, other than right-wing America trying to scare the holy living hell out of the rest of the world.

In honour of her conservative views, I've placed the pic to the right of the page.

Man, she has a piggish face.

I have found that all "pigs" have pig faces. Nancy is the best in the worst contest!
God Bless!

Also: Minister Murder: great rap name, or the greatest rap name?

A great rap name. Greatest rap name?
Stab Master Arson, from CB4. Sure, it's not real, but how real is gangsta rap anyway?

It's weird how CNN has put a great deal of effort into making the actual CNN channel more journalistic (and has succeeded, at least marginally), and yet at the same time has turned Headline news into FOX news lite. Colour me confused.

I do think a lot of the so-called improvements seen on CNN can be credited to Anderson Cooper and his smack down of Senator Mary Landrieu during his Katrina coverage. But beyond Anderson Cooper, I can't think of anybody else in the CNN line-up that I respect enough to want to bring in as a keynote speaker at a journalism conference. Sadly, the likes of Nancy Grace is not exactly an abnormality in the network.

It's more what CNN has removed from the main CNN channel than what it has added. They don't have any showbiz news anymore (that's all on Headline News now) and they don't have any pundit shows either except for the pathetic joke that is Larry King Live (and even then they often have Anderson Cooper on as a "guest" essentially to give a dumbed down version of his own show for King's audience). Also, as you said, Anderson Cooper, despite being sort of a joke when he started (I mean how many reality show hosts can really be great journalists), has shown himself to be an excellent reporter, beyond his hurricane Katrina coverage. This isn't to say that the network is the New York Times or Le Monde or anything, but I would say that it's a more trustworthy news source than say, the National Post.

Wow, even Tucker Carlson is making fun of Nancy Grace (as revealed by Jossip.com):

"Now, when Rosie (Nancy Grace’s producer) shows up at work with an AR-15, it will be wrong, but I don‘t think anybody will be surprised.” —Tucker Carlson, predicting that Nancy Grace will be a corpse on her own show, August 9.

Yes, you know you suck when Tucker "I'll be on Dancing with the Stars, bitches!" Carlson is making fun of your programming.
