I know it's part of the story and it's probably good journalism practice. But the mentioning of a white stretch Hummer, in the lede nonetheless, is making Williams out to be the most unsympathetic drive-by victim of 2007. So far.

I hear you, Iris. Actually, I guess I just read you, but that's beside the point. If he had only kept it simple and went with the standard non-stretch white Hummer, he might still be alive. Drive-by shooters aren't known for their marksmanship, but when your ride is the length of the side of a barn...well, you know.
It'd be even less sympathetic if the stretch Hummer has spinner rims. Imagine the trouble one has to go through finding a stretch limo WITH spinner rims.
I wonder if the guys who get spinner rims worry about having them wrecked in a drive-by? I'd imagine a lot of spinner rims get shot up every year.
Owen, you're assuming that all spinner rims are created equal. You probably have to pay extra to "upgrade" to those Pimpstar spinner rims.
Imagine the irony if people wrote "Just shoot me" on their Pimpstar rims and then ended up getting shot.
